Nexigen developed a proprietary drug discovery platform which goes beyond discovery technologies for common small molecule and antibody drugs. The technology allows to target disease mechanisms which are not easily accessible by common approaches. Nexigen’s core technology involves cellular screening systems for peptides, and allows the in vivo identification of intracellular peptide ligands with high relevance. The distinct USP is a screening mechanism, which allows the intracellular selection of peptides in their natural bound state. The technology is broadly applicable to various classes of drug target proteins, and features a high hit rate and a robust identification of relevant hits.

Novel in vivo screening systems for protein-protein interactions (Nexi-Protein-Screen) allow the identification and analysis of novel drug target proteins. The Nexi-Peptide-Screen is a powerful screening engine for intracellular peptides, which can target also so far inaccessible drug target proteins. The Nexi-Function and Nexi-Cycle technologies aim t the functional characterization and optimization of drug candidates.
